Google Announces Google Play
Google announced a new service Google Play, which makes it a one stop shot for all things music, books, videos, and Android apps. There is also a play.google.com site where users can access their purchased contents there. This essentially makes it a one-stop shop for online contents and makes it available all across the web without having to sync.

Google Does Not Support Google Wallet On Rooted Devices
Google has pushed an update of its Google Wallet app in hope to resolve its debacle of Google Wallet security issues discovered a few weeks ago. The app now warns rooted users that their devices will not be supported though the app still works fine. Also, the same issue that allowed cracking PIN number on rooted devices still exists.

Download Android App For Up To 4GB On Android Market
Google has enabled Android Market limit to allow downloading two 2GB files for extra app resources. This enables developers to push entire app+data through Android Market instead of through in-app downloads. This will benefit the most for apps that use a lot of extra data resources such as gaming and navigation maps.

CNET and VentureBeat claim that the next generation iPad Apple is announcing on Wednesday will be called iPad HD instead of iPad 3. The HD represents the high-definition retina display on the new iPad. The new iPad is also speculated to support LTE 4G as well.

Canon Announces EOS 5D Mark III
Canon announced the successor of 5D Mark II with the Mark III. The 5D Mark III features a 22.3MP full frame sensor, Digic 5 processor, with 25,600 standard ISO and 1080p 24/25/30 fps and 720p 24/25/30/50/60 fps. It will be available in late March for $3500.

One Million Copies Of Windows 8 Consumer Preview Downloaded In One Day
Microsoft released the consumer preview version of Windows 8 yesterday. The company today announced that more than a million copies have been downloaded within a day.
I am one of that million. However, I hated it. I downloaded the x64 version to try it on my virtual machine. Everything installed fine. But what is Microsoft thinking? Desktop+Mouse+Metro=CRAP. Metro is a touch interface, not a desktop mouse-friendly interface. Take that shit off!
