iPad 3 Sporting a Retina Display
MacRumors.com has acquired an iPad 3 display module and put it under microscope for further inspection. What do you know? It is the rumored retina display! The display has a resolution of 2048x1536, exactly four-time the resolution than the current iPad displays. A display of such high resolution will be able to deliver sharper image on the next iPad. The iPad 3 is rumored to be announced on March 7th.
Still, until it’s been announced and released by Apple, it is still a rumor. However, at this point there is no reason why Apple should not upgrade the iPad display to a retina display. iPad is a great device, but one thing that still bugs a lot of professional users is its display at 1024x768 resolution. At such resolution, fonts are blurry and aliased, and pictures losses detail and sharpness. With a retina display, these concerns will be eliminated. Let’s see if it will also feature the rumored LTE capability and quad-core A6 CPU.
